Sainfoin Seed Certified 25 Kg
Sainfoin Seed ( Certified)
Sainfoin, which belongs to the legume group, is a perennial forage plant. In addition to being consumed fondly by cattle and sheep, sainfoin bale has a high nutritional value.
It has a very important place in beekeeping and honey production. Bees benefit from flowers during honey production. The colors of the flowers are pink and the leaves are long and thin. There are around 5-80 sainfoin flowers in a bunch.
It grows in both wet and dry lands. It grows without any problems even in barren, infertile soils. It can stay in arid lands for 3-5 years.
Cultivation; It is necessary to sow 10-12 kg of seeds per decare. It is planted in autumn in temperate, coastal climate conditions, and in spring in cold climate conditions. Sainfoin seeds, which we do not recommend for lands with high water table, yield best in calcareous soils.
Planting sainfoin is very beneficial for the soil as it stores nitrogen in the soil. Additionally, since it is government supported, you can also reduce its cost.
