Mediterranean Fruit Fly Trap + 500 ml Protein
Mediterranean Fruit Fly Mass Trap System
PACKAGING: Mediterranean Fruit Fly Trap + 500 ml Protein
It is a highly effective and innovative system used to control Mediterranean fruit fly infestation. In addition, it is a completely ecological solution since its formula does not contain insecticides and does not need to be used together with insecticides.
C.TRAP® is a liquid food attractant with a special protein formula, developed by BIOIBERICA.
It contains volatile components, mainly heterocyclic amines (piperazinediones) and organic acids, that attract adult fruit flies, especially females.
Does not harm insects that are beneficial to the plant
It not only attracts Mediterranean fruit flies, but also does not harm beneficial creatures in the region with its selective content.
You do not need insecticide
Thanks to its high attractant properties, it effectively controls fly infestation without the need to add any insecticide (DDVP or pyrethrin). Other trap systems require additional insecticide to be as effective. CERA TRAP systems work very simply: The fly enters the trap and dies by drowning in the liquid. Other liquid traps do not have such a specific and effective working system.
Application
The number of traps to use depends mainly on the area to be protected and the sensitivity of your plants. The stated trap numbers are recommended to achieve "effective pest control" at levels that will provide maximum effect and will not require any insecticide treatment in most cases.
Recommended trap numbers are as follows:
traps |
8-12 traps/da |
PLACEMENT OF TRAPS
Traps should be hung on the southeast side of the tree at a height of 1.5 m to 2 m. Traps should be spaced evenly throughout the plot. If there are plants on the edges of the parcel that allow flies to multiply intensively; It is recommended to hang more traps in that place.
APPLICATION TIME | 45 days before the fruits are ripe enough for harvest. |
Trial Result
As a result of the studies carried out against the Mediterranean Fruit Fly in Citrus in the Aegean Region in 2010 and 2011, it was determined that the effectiveness rate of the named trap was 98.8% in both years. In the observations made, no signs of phytotoxicity caused by the effects of the drugs were found.
The trap named C.TRAP has been proven to be effective against the Mediterranean Fruit Fly Ceratitis Capitata pest, compared to the mass trap trapping method, and has been successfully used in the control of this pest with 8-12 traps per decare.
